Last updated: (13/06/2019) Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and accept that in making a booking with us that you agree to abide by them.
1: HEALTH WARNING Activities at X-GENVR include using Virtual Reality headsets and moving motion platforms. The majority of individuals experience VR with no side effects. Occasionally (usually after prolonged use) a small minority users may feel dizzy or nauseous upon taking the headset off. This isn’t anything alarming and is commonly known as “VR Sickness”. A short break, fresh air and a drink of water normally helps. Most people will never experience this, especially when VR is used responsibly and under guidance like at X-GENVR.
The company endeavours to do its utmost to minimise risks by encouraging short breaks from the headset over prolonged sessions. By booking with X-GENVR you accept that the company cannot be held liable for any adverse health effects that arise from using our equipment.
X-GENVR strongly advise that individuals who suffer from epilepsy or similar photosensitive conditions refrain from taking part.
If you have any serious health conditions or phobias/anxieties we ask that you disclose them to us in advance to minimise any risks to you as a customer. If X-GENVR is not informed in advance of any medical conditions then it may result in your booking being cancelled on arrival if the company believes the condition may present a serious risk or put the participant at harm. If these conditions are not disclosed then X-GENVR cannot be held responsible for any injuries or harm that arises as a result.
2: AGE RESTRICTIONS By making a booking you accept full responsibility for your entire group and confirm that you are at least 16 years of age. You confirm that you and your group agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Children under the age of 7 are not permitted to take part due to health and safety regulations in place at X-Genvr. They are welcome on the premises however and will not be charged as part of your booking.
Any participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or an older parent/guardian. If the company feels the designated adult or guardian for a group may not be in a position to take responsibility for them then service may be refused. X-GENVR takes safeguarding very seriously and no unattended children will be allowed to participate. The responsible adult must remain on the premises at all times and make themselves available to staff to assist with younger children if required.
X-Genvr reserves the right to challenge you or members of your group on your age to ensure compliance with our own rules and regulations regarding age. You may wish to bring identification if you believe we may question your age or that of anyone within your group.
3: BOOKING X-GENVR operate under a live booking system and as such will not issue refunds or rescheduling for missed bookings.
Bookings for the LuxuryVR Room allow up to 4 people per booking. This is 4 people sharing one headset. If you need more than 4 players or require two players to have a headset each then you will need to book both our available rooms.
Bookings for the VR Arcade are for 1 person, a time slot can not be shared.
If you have concerns about your ability to attend your booking then you should attempt to contact the company at the earliest available opportunity to discuss your options.
Given sufficient notice (at least 48hrs) X-GENVR may reschedule a booking at their discretion.
By booking with the company you confirm your commitment to attend your booked slot on the live booking system. X-GENVR will not allow you to cancel your booking for a refund. As stated above the company resolves to be fair and flexible in regards to rescheduling.
It is your responsibility to arrive on time for your booking. If you arrive after your scheduled time the company cannot guarantee you will receive your full allocation of time for your scheduled activity. The company will not refund or recompense any time lost due to lateness. The company always advises parties to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled booking time to avoid such circumstances.
You may transfer the name on your booking to another party provided the company is given at least 24 hours notice.
You may not re-sell or transfer a booking for a fee or commercial purposes. Breach of this condition will result in all parties being refused admission to the premises.
Promotional bookings and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any offers.
3: BEHAVIOUR AND SAFETY
X-GENVR reserves the right to refuse any service to customers believed to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Your entry to the building will be refused, your booking will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.
The company will not tolerate any behaviour that is rude, abusive, intimidating or threatening to either its staff or other customers. Any customer behaving in an unacceptable manner will be warned any may be asked to leave the premises. If you are asked to leave the premises your booking will be cancelled and you will not receive any refund.
Abusive or violent behaviour will be reported to the police.
As the lead name on the booking you will be responsible for your own behaviour and safety as well as that of your group. X-GENVR are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur through irresponsible or inappropriate behaviour. The company is also not responsible for injury or harm caused by property or equipment which has been damaged by you or your group behaving inappropriately or dangerously.
Intentional damage or destruction of company property will be reported to the police.
The company reserves the right to refuse service to any customer that demonstrates an inability or unwillingness to follow health and safety information and general guidance on our equipment. Any customer who cannot understand or will not listen to staff members will not be allowed to use our equipment for their own safety.
X-GENVR has age guidelines and health guidelines in place to protect our customers. If you have intentionally misled us on the age of a customer or their ability to participate then the company is not held liable for any harm or injury that may arise from these circumstances. If the company believes they have been misled about a customer’s age or ability to participate then they reserve the right to refuse service in an effort to protect all parties.
Parents or guardians accompanying children are responsible for their behaviour. Children must not be left unattended. Children are subject to the same terms and conditions regarding behaviour and safety as adults.
